Can you hallucinate after waking up from a dream?

So I had a dream that I was laying on my bed and I couldn't move, It was like something was holding me down and I tried extremely hard to wake up from it, but when I did there was something weird moving on my ceiling and got bigger and bigger until I finally jumped out of my bed and it disappeared ...has anyone else experienced this?
