If there wasn't a real possibility of the GOP NOT Raising the Debt Ceiling then why is Obama so worried?

It begs the question, that Obama wouldn't be pushing Bernanke, Geithner, Paulson and Greenspan to speak out not raising it unless there was a real possibility that the GOP DO have the votes to NOT raise it!
