Can i have 2 routers with 1 internet connection?

I just purchased a bluray player that can connect to internet. I could run a wire from bluray player(upstairs) to router(downstairs) but would have to go through floor, ceiling, and a wall to connect it to the router. It would be easier for a 2nd router just for the bluray, but is that possible???
