What does it mmean when u dream of the Devil?

In my dream I was a witness of some sort of violent action. Anyway,I approached this man(somehow I knew it was the Devil) I said to him,"I am not scared of u" I was yelling it to him tho. So,people around me was telling me that he would come looking for me because I disrespected him. A few days later,he came to my house and told whoever answered the door that he was a detective looking for me. When he got in the house he grabbed me by my shirt and held me to the ceiling and was like...taking my energy. I got free and was crawling towards my friends mom tha was there too. I was saying,"mom,help me"(my mother passed away 13yrs ago)
