Wrestling fans, can you explain this to me?

Well I used to make fun of wrestling all the time but now I want to understand it. I mean, you guys must like it for good reasons right? What makes you enjoy watching wrestling? I turn on the T.V. and die laughing at how dumb it looks and I can't fathom how there is an entire arena full of fans..it;s like another world. Is it like art? Being able to entertain with some athletic and acting skills?
